Challenge
NEA Baptist, a 40-year-old health care system comprised of over 100 doctors and 50 advanced practitioners servicing a population of 1/2 million people within a 5-county area, recognized the need for convenient, centralized healthcare that addressed multiple pathologies within walking distance of their $400 million medical campus in Jonesboro, AR. They aimed to create an environment that not only facilitated patient care but also fostered healing and reduced stress for patients, employees, and their families.
Action
To address this challenge, NEA Baptist partnered with Haag Brown’s Medical Division to create the Reserve at NEA, an 11-acre lifestyle-focused medical development that acts as a seamless extension of the NEA Baptist Health System Campus. This innovative project features an array of cutting-edge medical facilities, strategically designed to promote healing and well-being. It also includes a beautifully landscaped multi-use trail that travels through the entire project and connects to NEA Baptist, multiple water features, a lakeside pavilion, and three distinct green space areas, creating an inviting and revitalizing atmosphere for all who visit.
Results
The Reserve at NEA has significantly transformed the healthcare landscape in Jonesboro. Patients now enjoy easy access to comprehensive medical services within a serene and aesthetically pleasing environment through integration of nature, water features, and green spaces. This project exemplifies the commitment of both NEA Baptist and Haag Brown’s Medical Division to address Quality of Life issues, creating a model for future healthcare developments in the region.
